Life Assistant
Todos, money, calendar, notes and a diary in one calm app, on your phone and your computer.
- Your whole day on one page. Today shows what is due, your daily checklist, the week ahead, what you spent and today's diary.
- Private by design. Works fully offline, with no account, ads or tracking. Backups and sync are encrypted with your own password.
- Phone and computer stay in sync. Sync through your own private GitHub repository; changes made on both devices merge on their own.
- Works with your AI assistant. On the computer, you can let Claude read and update your todos, ledger and notes. Off by default; the Vault is never shared.

- Today
- Overdue and due items, a daily checklist that starts fresh every morning, the coming week, today's spending, your diary page and pinned notes, all on one screen.
- Todo
- Nested categories, subtasks, priorities, tags, due times, reminders, repeating tasks, attachments and search.
- Ledger
- Income and expenses with repeating entries, attachments, weekly, monthly and yearly summaries, and trend charts.
- Calendar
- Month, week, day and agenda views, with each day's todos and net spending at a glance.
- Notes and diary
- Notes in nested folders with pins and attachments. One diary page per day, saved as you type.
- Vault and Confessional
- An encrypted vault for passwords and private notes. The Confessional lets you write something down, then burn it for good or seal it on this device only.
- Sync and backup
- Optional sync through a private GitHub repository in your own account, set up with one click. Both devices can make changes at the same time; edits are merged item by item, and if both changed the same note, both versions are kept. Daily automatic backups and password-encrypted export are built in.
- On the computer
- Native Windows and Linux apps with a folding sidebar, side-by-side editors, system notifications and keyboard shortcuts for everything. No browser or separate Java install needed.
- AI assistants
- Turn on Settings → AI assistants to add Life Assistant to Claude Desktop or Claude Code in one click. Assistants can read, and if you allow it change, your todos, ledger, notes and diary. The Vault and Confessional are never exposed.
- Look and feel
- Light, dark and system themes, six accent colors, and an optional app lock with fingerprint, face or password.
- Privacy
- No account, analytics or ads. Your data stays on your devices unless you export it or turn on sync, and synced data is encrypted with your password before it leaves the device.
Installing
- Android
- Open the APK on your phone and allow installs from that source. Requires Android 8.0 or newer.
- Windows
- Run the installer. No administrator rights needed. Windows 10 or 11.
- Linux
- On Debian or Ubuntu:
sudo apt install ./LifeAssistant-linux-amd64.deb. On other distributions, unpack the .tar.gz and runbin/life-assistant.
