Trackpad4Game
Play games on a laptop touchpad: keys become mouse buttons.
- Keys as mouse buttons. V and B act as left and right click; holding the key holds the button, so mining in Minecraft works.
- No stray taps. The touchpad's own clicks and taps are blocked while it is on; moving the pointer still works.
- Only in your game. Optionally acts only while a game is the active window.
- One toggle. Switch it on and off with the backtick key or the tray icon.
Features
- Mouse buttons on keys
- V is the left button and B the right; holding a key holds the button. Every key can be changed in Settings.
- Touchpad blocking
- The touchpad's clicks and taps are blocked while it is on, so a stray tap doesn't attack or place a block. Moving the pointer still works.
- Game only
- Optionally acts only while a game (Minecraft by default) is the active window; everywhere else the keys and touchpad behave normally.
- On and off
- Press the backtick key or click the tray icon. A beep and the icon color show the state.
- Tips
- If the touchpad stops moving while you hold W/A/S/D, set Windows touchpad sensitivity to Most sensitive. Turn blocking off if you plug in a mouse.
Installing
- Windows
- Put trackpad4game.exe in its own folder and run it. SmartScreen may warn because the exe is not code-signed. Windows 10 or 11, nothing else to install.
